Originally I was going to go the route of what reminds me of Lolita fashion, but instead I have decided to go the route of "What do I listen to when I am getting ready in the morning and makes me feel fabulous?".
My music tastes are all over the place, but have some similar qualities of having a good emotional feel to it. I love daydreaming, so the music I am listening to needs to be able to go as the soundtrack behind my dreams (sorry, got a lot of Pisces influence there...).
First up is a band that I really love (not to mention the lead singer is very attractive so that is always a plus), but In This Moment always gets me in the mood to bake or put on makeup. I do not know why those things are correlated, it just happened that way. I am going with it.
I really love their fashion aesthetics too. Just their videos and entire mood in general is just interesting and has a lot of dimension.
This next one is a little more punk, but still a bit heavy - The Nearly Deads. Her voice is much different though; she definitely gives it a much more lighter feeling than In This Moment. I really enjoy the guitar too.
In a completely different direction, for you kids who like to party rock and hit up the clubs, the fishy Jeffree Star. I have been following him for close to 10 years now, and I really like that he is still doing his thing after all this time. He has not changed a bit (well, his music has in terms of being better quality).
I cannot leave out Foxy Shazam, just because it would be a travesty if I did. If The Darkness and Queen had a baby, it would be Foxy Shazam. Hopefully that is enough description for you to understand why they are so fantastic.
Tommy Heavenly6 is one of the few bands I really enjoy using different languages outside of English. In "Gothic Pink", they retain a rock feel with her eerie voice. In other songs, she floats into the pop world much more, but this one song in particular really sticks out to me.

This particular song is probably the worst to get ready to, because every time this song comes on, I start nodding my head and typically have to redo my hair. Or restrain myself. It still puts me in a great mood though.
The music video in particular I am showcasing features zombies! Yay!

He is really fun to dance to and just feeling awesome about yourself.

It is essentially a circle of Lolita bloggers coming together to write about a similar topic to help them come up with cute post ideas, share each other's opinions and ideas, and share each other's work. To be involved, you must be an active, seasoned Lolita blogger - you can read more about the requirements in the group info at the Facebook group. Be sure to follow all the requirements to submit an application, and you can request to join. The moderators of the group include Caro from FYeahLolita, Victoria from Parfait Doll, and myself.
